Last year of 2014, it is confirmed that the Pope of the Roman Catholic Church is coming to our country. Pope Francis, known as the pope of the century is coming to visit us. But, because of his visit to country, threats to his security is the first priority when he visit this coming weeks. How we are preapared for his visit?
The Airport:
Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) has been renovated some parts for the papal's visit and also prepare for the incoming asean summit next year of 2016. Department of Transport And Communications (DOTC) Sec. Jun Abaya is monitoring the situation in the arrival area where will the pope be. Facilities of the naia is everyday monitored, air conditioning and the structure of the building to make sure safe for the event.
Security:
Philippine National Police (PNP) OIC Cheif Leonardo Espina is ordered to deploy police in the national roads to be traveled when the pope travel around the roads of metro manila. In the other hand, Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Gen. Catapang, said that they deploy also military personnels who will monitored also and to help the security forces of PNP. Also the part of Metropolitan Manila Developement Authority (MMDA) Chairman Francis Tolentino, also give their mmda personnels a motorcade escort of the pope. They prepared last year to make sure that everything will be on time correct and on schedule. They also deploy all of their units in some most major parts, especially the highways that will be used as the pope come visit. Also all officials of government declared national holidays when the pope come to visit.
