First, we need to consider the situation of our houses. First, if you home is located in a flooded area, you need to consider these things:
1) Check the items, like your televisions or any electrical devices. If you have a second floor or any safe place to keep these. Also your important documents needed to be safe also.
2) Check your wirings if any broken cords. Secure sockets to be aware of electrical shocks incase your home got flooded. Wires are the some major main reasons some persons got killed.
3) full charge your gadgets, especially your communications devices. It may help you contact emergency units of government near your home.
4) Tuned in always to television for typhoon updates, incase of blackouts during typhoon, make sure you have a transistor radio with maintained battery that lasts until electricity back on. It also helps you monitor what are rescue locations be conducted.
5) if you don't have important meetings, gigs or events going during the typhoon, best to be in home. If needed to, be aware of traffic flows in your city and check your car if its on maintain motors. Bring also extra moneys and communications device to be easily contact by families or relatives.
This typhoon season, we need to be prepared and aware of our sorroundings. Be aware and vigilant! If any situation happens, call PNP Hotline 117 or any other emergency numbers. Better safe than to be sorry.
